  • Phoenix Desktop Wallet Beta launched on May 6
    The Phoenix Wallet was released to the public on May 6, and the reception so far has been outstanding. The Burst Apps Team has been actively closing out issues as community members have been reporting them. New features, like auto-update, are also rolling out in the next release. Phoenix Desktop Wallet is powered by BurstJS, a powerful JavaScript library for building BURST applications. Read more about BurstJS and Phoenix in CIP-18.
  • Phoenix ported to Archlinux
    Community member llybin has ported Phoenix to Archlinux. Check it out!
  • New mining software Helix released
    The Proof of Capacity Consortium (PoCC) has announced new miner software called Helix, which proposes to double your mining returns by virtually doubling your hard drives. Read more here
  • Reminder : Please Update your BRS to version 2.3.0
    BRS 2.3.0 and QBundle 2.5.1have been released, with important security updates. At the time of writing this article, nearly 57% of nodes have upgraded. If you run a BURST node, we encourage you to upgrade immediately. Here you can get a manual for the installation
  • BlockTalk development update: Odds Game
    Community leader frank_the_tank together with Burst Apps Team member jjos announced a new Odds Game built on top of BlockTalk, a Java-based Smart Contract language for Burst.  
  • Decrease of Asset issuance fee proposal(CIP21)
    BMF founder frank_the_tank and developer burstjack have proposed CIP-21: a hard-fork candidate to decrease the Burst asset issuance fee. If you have any input, please do so before the time for comments closes on 27.05.2019.
  • Reminder: Please Update your BRS to version 2.3.0

BMF Weekly Funds Report
The BMF owns 4 accounts with the following balances:

The BMF paid 134,000 BURST for bounties, giveaways and NDS-A amd server costs. All bounties can be found on the BMF trello

The BMF50 Pool generated a weekly income around 13,000 BURST.
The pool has 62 miners and 4,380 estimated TB.

  • Weekly NDS-Award paid 5,000 BURST on 09.05.19 & 19.05.19
    The service found over 600 active nodes with the correct version, while 117 & 113 nodes had properly set their BURST Account. Finally, we distributed 10,000 BURST to 230 node operators.

  • Burst is Going To Space! ?
    To promote the new Phoenix wallet, Burst Apps Team member blankey1337 has “launched” a new marketing campaign which involves sending Burst to outer space.
