BRS 2.3.0 and QBundle 2.5.1 released – Upgrade Today

Last week, the Burst Apps Team released BRS 2.3.0 and QBundle 2.5.1 to go along with it. At the time of writing this article, nearly 30% of nodes have upgraded. This is a good start, but we still have a long way to go. If you run a BURST node, we encourage you to upgrade immediately!

  • Qbundle 2.5.1 releaed
    One day after the BRS2.3.0 release, development member harry1453 released the corresponding Qbundle 2.5.1. This release requires a manual update once from the user, but afterwards the update will be automatically pulled from the Burst App Team github, no private server between needed any longer. Get your update here   
  • BurstJS 0.1.0-rc.3 Released
    The Burst Apps Team has released BurstJS 0.1.0-rc.3 this week. For more information about what’s new in this version, take a look at the changelog. To see what BurstJS can do for you, please review the github repo.
  • Burst Explorer – Charts Added

  • BURST Traffic Award
    BMF member Semaphore_Slim announced the winners of the BURST Traffic Award (Week 3) and also provided updates about Week 4 of the raffle – which includes an increase in the price pool to 100,000 Burst. Purchases of Burst from exchanges, regular transactions on the network, donations to BMF, and joining the BMF50 pool all earn you raffle entries.   • Wallet Testing Underway
    The makers of the online wallet have opened testing on their Public Test Domain: They are seeking the community’s help in testing the site and features. Remember, this is a test site only so if you participate DO NOT send or request Burst from/to the MainNet.
  • The BURSTER – new generation of Burst miners
    User radorek announced today a new portable miner, Burster, that is “plug & play” and designed to be a low-maintenance mining solution for home or office.


BMF Weekly Funds Report
The BMF owns 3 account with the following balances:

The BMF paid 104,510 BURST for bounties and NDS-A.

The BMF50 Pool generated an income of  11,630.71 BURST.
The pool has 68 miners and 5655 estimated TB.

  • Bounty Reward Update
    The BMF team decided this week to double the bounties offered for the Burst Gamification Faucet and Burst Wiki Translations – raising the rewards from 10,000 to 20,000 Burst.
  • NDS-A: BRS 2.3.0 Edition
    To celebrate the first Burst Apps Team BRS version, the NDS-A award pool has been increased to 7,000 Burst. The prize pool will be awarded to valid node-operators who have upgraded to BRS 2.3.0. Ensure your node is publishing your Burst ID and keep your uptime above 85% to become eligible.
