  • The important news of the week! In last week’s report, I discussed the extensive code reformating that is currently taking place within the Burst core and why it is a good sign. It turns out the PoC Consortium have big things planned for 2017, as they recently stated on Twitter. And it doesn’t stop here. Yesterday the Burst roadmap was updated, as announced by a @Burstcoin_dev tweet that was also asking to “pay attention to the details”. Some people quickly found out about a particular element under the “current” category of the roadmap:When asked about it, the PoC Consortium responded with a very interesting link. Check it out:
Brace yourselves! This is the big question that will get answered on December, 27th: “What is The Dymaxion?
  • Although we can expect something really big from the PoC Consortium by December 27th, that doesn’t mean we cannot expect smaller things too. As @rico666 stated on, “we have the iOS version of the wallet ready for over a month, but Apple is blocking it (as they do with basically all Alt-Wallets)”. The PoCC seems to currently armwrestle with Apple to get the Burst mobile wallet listed in the iOS App store.
  • Some exclusive news from BurstNation: they are going to release a new core wallet jar file with websockets implemented. Testing is complete and they are currently packaging it for release. What are the benefits of such a thing? According to @Focus, “sync speeds have gone up from 100~150 blocks per minute to approximately 5000-10000 blocks per minute depending on your cpu/bandwidth”.

  • The Burst subreddit has been further improved by its administrators. Changes range from sidebar improvements to official subreddit rules and link flair implementation. According to @MrPilotMan, “this week also saw a massive boost in subscribers per day, far above the average of the last few weeks.” I can only applaud the work they are doing to completely transform the subreddit – feel free to join the discussion there!

  • Burst needs more ways to get exchanged. Community member @Nisc3d proposed to add Burst to the decentralized exchange You can upvote the proposition here, it takes a few seconds and you do not have to register an account!
  • @Cryptojam is going to print a bunch of Burst flyers to distribute around. This is a good way of spreading awareness, and a great example of community engagement.
  • Some Burst goodies! You can now download the model of a community-made 3D printable burstcoin.

Here we are. The PoC Consortium is going to have the opportunity to prove itself of being capable of bringing the truly groundbreaking advancements that Burst needs to get more attention. Mark the December 27th date on your calendar, and stay tuned for the additional clues the PoC Consortium will likely give in the coming weeks. We can also notice an encouraging upward movement of the Burst USD value. One thing is for sure: the end of 2017 shall be truly a cocktail of powerful emotions and tribulations.

Thank you and see you next week,

Tom Créance (@Gadrah)
